Wiggle Worms

I love the idea of a wiggle worm jar. Seeing different versions on several amazing blogs, was clearly inspiring! But I wasn't sure how I was going to make my own until I ran into the dollar store and they were all out of pom poms and popsicle sticks! :(
I finally settled on these little hair bands at the $1 store and crossed my fingers...
I actually love they way they turned out and wanted to share!
Here is a list of the songs I used:

The wiseman/foolish man
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes
Do as Im doing
Popcorn Popping
Once there was a snowman
Book of Mormon Stories
Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam
I am like a Star
Follow the Prophet
Hinges
Give Said the little Stream
If Youre Happy
and
Fun to Do!

Wiggle on everyone. Wiggle on. :)

  1. Those are so cute! And easy, looking at your finished product I expected it to be way more complicated than just hair ties!

    1. Thanks! I have a kid come up and pull one out... each worm has a song on it and the one they pick is the song we sing!

  6. These look great! How exactly did you make them? Did you just take a hair bow and cut it? Did you connect two together? And did you attach the googly eyes with hot glue? Thanks!

    1. Thanks! :) I literally just cut the hair ties down the middle, these ones didn't even have a metal clasp, (even easier!!) and then I hot glued wiggly eyes! but I think glue dots would've worked well too! :)
Thanks for checking them out!! :)

  7. I made these, and the kids were so intrigued and thought they were so much fun. I happened across a stuffed caterpillar at $1Tree too, and added magnets so it would stick to the chalkboard. I drew a large tree with ladder lines, and our counselor moved the caterpillar up according to how well the song went. It was a lot of fun. We had gummy worms at the end.
