Time to share my Fathers day plans...
I asked all of the Daddy Primary teachers what their favorite primary song was and then I wrote them inside of these adorable shirts and ties..

Im giving each DAD a new (old/ugly) tie to wear and asking them to be the judges of each primary song, after each sung is sung in correlation with the card picked, they will give thumbs up or thumbs down....

If the majority is thumbs up, we will get to CUT any of the DADS ties, they are ALL up for grabs and all free for the cutting!! :)

I heard last week, that the Priesthood is coming in to relieve us of Primary duties the last hour... so Ive only got Jr Primary this week.... VERY sad, it was going to be such a fun Sunday!

(Im still working on it myself)
Im calling all the LADY primary leaders (presidency and teachers) ahead of time (just for JR primary since thats Ill doing that day) and asking them several questions about themselves! Im going to put a card with all their answers in separate brown bags and do a SPOTLIGHT for each mom. Have a child come up and pick a bag. The last, MOST IMPORTANT, question is what is your favorite Primary song? Which of course, we'll sing!

Some of the SPOTLIGHT questions you could ask:

Favorite Color:
Favorite Scripture hero:
Favorite icecream:
Favorite Holiday:
How many children do you have:
Least favorite Food:
Something you love about being a mom:

Hope you all have the LOVELIEST Mothers Day!

Mothers Day~

This week we're getting ready to sing in Sacrament for Mothers Day! We're singing two songs,  "Families Can Be Together Forever" and a Mothers day themed song. BUT, I just realized I only left myself ONE Sunday to learn and practice the Mothers Day song!! Ahhhh!

So, I chose: Mother, I Love You
(and Im crossing my fingers its somewhat familiar)
Luckily, I ran into a great blog and found my flip chart!

Im going to have a child come up and raise this heart, (glued to a popsicle stick) every time we sing the word "LOVE"!

....and then these little guys (hearts BELOW) are going to be all around the room, and randomly as we're going through the lines of our song, Im going to have a child grab a heart and tell us something they LOVE about their Mom!

We Thank Thee, Oh God, for a Prophet, Week 1

Another wild card month, and our primary has chosen the great hymn, "We Thank Thee, Oh God, for a Prophet" as our song!!

I borrowed an idea I saw online instead of a flipchart, a clever lady blew up a picture of President Monson at the pulpit onto poster board and cut slits in the middle to move a filmstrip through it with images for each line of the song!

This is my version. I just printed two separate (8.5"x11") images and attached them together.

After getting comfortable with the first verse, we are going to learn the favorite songs of some of our prophets! (AND OF COURSE, SING THEM!!)

The Church of Jesus Christ ~Week 3

I am going to bring pictures of a few of the things that make our church special and different than any other church on earth!

(And then let the kids pick a picture and sing the song that goes with it....)

A living Prophet: Latter-day Prophets

The Book of Mormon: Book of Mormon Stories

Temples: I love to see the Temple

Sealed for ETERNITY: Families can be together forever

The Priesthood: The Priesthood is restored

There is so much more:  tithing, baptism, our missionaries, the Holy Ghost...

I am so grateful to be apart of this divine gospel. We are truly blessed to have the fullness of the gospel in these latter days!

The Church Of Jesus Christ~ Week Two

I found a visuals I LOVE here at:

This week, I will be using the images and words and displaying them side by side like the picture above, BUT the words will be showing and in order and the images will be scrambled and turned around! The kids will come and pick a random (backwords) picture and place it top of the keyword it belongs too!
The kids knew it really well last week, so by the time we're all finished, all the words will be covered and we can sing it through with just the pictures! piece of cake! : )

Ill be using the same pictures for the remaining time to sing other songs,

From the top image down ( the images work well with):
I hope they call me on a mission,
Do as Im Doing,
Teach me to walk in the light or I am like a star,
If the Savior Stood Beside Me
To Think about Jesus,
When I am Baptized,
The Church of Jesus Christ
I am a child of God,
Families can Be together Forever
